The Blues Crossroads

Add to plan Remove from plan

Clarksdale is known as the birthplace of the blues and home to the Crossroads where, according to popular (though fictional) music folklore, blues legend Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil in exchange for supernatural musical ability. Today, a monument featuring three giant blue guitars marks one of the intersections where this event was said to have happened.
